All candidates applying for the Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship 2023-2024 must meet the following criteria:

Applicants must be in their final year of a graduate degree at an accredited UK university or college. The scholarship is open to all subjects. Candidates are not required to produce a full written submission as part of their application; instead, a summary of 2-3 A4 pages, including work experience, achievements, and academic record is expected.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full essay detailing one specific topic within the candidate’s chosen field.

Benefits Of The Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship 2023-2024

The Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship 2023-2024 offers eligible applicants a funding package of up to £8,000 to contribute towards their tuition fees. The grant also provides students with a living stipend during the final year of study and is available to UK citizens or permanent residents currently undertaking an undergraduate degree or master’s in any discipline at a UK university.

Application Procedure

The Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship is available to suitably qualified graduates of A levels, BTEC/PreU, degrees, or other courses equivalent to the first degree.

Candidates should be based at a UK university, carrying out their studies on a full-time basis, and not be in receipt of any other full scholarships from any source. Applicants must have achieved excellent academic performance with a minimum of 2:1 overall classification or above for their final degree.

Eligibility Criteria

This opportunity is open to the all suitably qualified University of Nairobi students, who are Kenyan citizens or who have been residing in Kenya for at least five years before their application.

Awardees will be expected to complete a period of service with the Beit Trust. They must also maintain satisfactory academic progress and provide evidence of continued leadership and community engagement. furthermore, The Beit Trust reserves the right to rescind funding if the awardee fails to meet these criteria. If this happens, they will not be eligible for future scholarships.


The Beit Trust scholarships will cover tuition fees and other college-related expenses such as books, examination fees, and accommodation costs.

However, applicants should check with their home university regarding additional living expenses like food and transportation while they are studying abroad in one of the countries where we fund postgraduate programs (Kenya).
