ICICI Coral Credit Card Benefits Features and Rewards

We will talk about ICICI Coral Credit Card Benefits Now there are two such cards from ICICI Bank, the first of which is the Coral credit card, and the other is ICICI Bank’s Platinum credit card. You can get these two credit cards very easily, Even if your CIBIL score is very bad I mean, you may have maintained a very serious default; in that case, the bank will say that you can take a credit card against the FD.

In some cases, if you have an extremely bad CIBIL score, then the bank will suggest that you take a credit card only against FD. But even in that scenario, you cannot choose the credit card as per your choice. But if you have the worst CIBIL score, and the bank agrees to give you a credit card against FD, then you’ll be shown only two options ICICI Bank’s Coral credit card or their Platinum credit card. you may also visit: Choosing an Education Loan

You can choose one of those ICICI cards only. It’s the same if you’re applying for a credit card for the first time from ICICI, too. Rest; if you think that you’ll get the ICICI bank’s Amazon Card, chances are that you’ll get rejected because that one has many advantages. ICICI Bank gives a straight 5% discount on Amazon shopping.

So, the bank rejects it often as they know the customer has a lot of advantages. But platinum and coral are very basic cards from ICICI. If you want to generate a CIBIL score or want to get a credit card for once somehow, if you get a CIBIL score, then any bank will give a card to you.

if you like watching movies, etc., then it says that you’ll get a 25% discount, but you have to book a minimum of 2 tickets for that.

This is only available at Bookmyshow. You can book the tickets from the app; remember that you have to book two for the 25% discount.

The term and condition is that it caps off at 100. Let’s say that a ticket costs 200, so 2 will cost 400, 25% of which is 100, so you get a 100-rupee discount. If the same ticket cost 250, then the total would’ve been 500; now 25% of that is 125, but in this case, you will get a maximum of 100 rupees.

Now this offer is valid on BookMyShow, and you can avail of it twice every month. So, you can book 2 movies, with a minimum of 2 tickets, and get a maximum of 100 rupees cashback each time. But if you’re booking a ticket for 3rd time, then you won’t get cashback on that. You can get cashback the next month.

Second, you’ll gain access to airport lounges. So, all the airports ICICI Bank has ties with will keep their lounges open for you. But you can only avail of it once every 3 months. Imagine that it’s the 2nd quarter or April-May-June quarter, and you have accessed the airport lounge once in this period, so, you can’t access it again in this quarter.

So, one lounge access in one quarter. Also, you’ll have to spend at least 5000 rupees in the previous quarter. So, if you’ve spent a minimum of 5K in the last quarter, you only have one lounge access in the next quarter. It’s the same for every lounge access in every quarter. So, this was the T&C and the airport lounge benefit. Similarly, you’ll also have access to railway lounges every 3 months on this credit card.

It says that if you spend 100 rupees anywhere online, then you will receive 2 reward points. It has a very low value in my opinion, and it’s not applicable for purchasing fuel.

Otherwise, you will get 2 reward points for every Rs 100 spent. The value of the reward point is low, because, here 1 reward point equals 25 paise. So, if you spend Rs 100, you will get reward points worth 50 paise. That’s 0.5% cashback. So, I won’t say this is much because there are many credit cards that give you a minimum of 1% in retail and up to 5-7% of cashback on online shopping.

That’s why, in the beginning, I told you that it is as basic as a credit card; it’s okay only if want to generate your CIBIL score or you’re applying for the first time as you’re a student or a fresher and don’t have a CIBIL score or if your CIBIL score is not that good In that case. it’ll be easy for you to get the coral card; the easier option is a Platinum credit card, which I’ll tell you about next.

So, I’ll only suggest these to those people; otherwise, these cards don’t have any shiny features; there are better ones.

it says that if you spend Rs 2 lakhs every year, then you’ll get 2,000 reward points, which roughly convert to 500 rupees in cashback. Similarly, if you spend 1 lakh in a year, then you’ll get 1000 reward points worth 250 rupees, as 1 reward point equals 25 paise.

The T&C of this is that you can only avail a maximum of 10000 reward points in a year. Now I’ve told you that the joining fee is Rs 500, the first year’s annual fee is free, and Rs. 500 will be charged from next year onwards. Now there’s also a fuel surcharge waiver, which is available on every credit card, there’s hardly any credit card that doesn’t provide a fuel surcharge waiver.

So, it gives 1% of the fuel surcharge waiver. The T&C for this is that it’s only applicable to HPCL petrol pumps. it won’t be applicable to any other petrol pumps. it’s only applicable to HPCL petrol pumps. the second condition is that the POS machine for card swiping has to be of ICICI bank.

If the pump belongs to HPCL but the POS is from another bank, then it won’t work. You’ll be charged 1 rupee per 100 rupees of payment, totaling 101 rupees. So, check if there’s an ICICI POS machine, because there usually is one, or ask for one, so that you can get the 1% fuel surcharge waiver.

Other than this, it gives up to a 15% discount on dining in ICICI partner restaurants and accident insurance worth 2 lakhs. So, these are the overall features of ICICI Bank’s Coral credit card. T

This card doesn’t really have features worth mentioning; it’s a very basic card, it just goes under the ICICI brand, which will be useful in places where they ask for ICICI cards, like Flipkart or Amazon.

Recently, someone bought a mobile phone with my credit card; it cost 15000 rupees and there was an offer that said there would be Rs 1500 cashback if an ICICI card was used. I had a Platinum card at hand, which the guy used to purchase the phone.

Now this card really doesn’t have a feature, nor does it give reward points, but you’ll get such benefits from Amazon, etc. So, this ICICI brand is a useful thing, often for online shopping like this. other than that, it has no joining or annual fees, and it has the same reward point structure where you’ll get 2 points for every Rs. 100 spent, like the Coral card So, it’s the same 50 paise for 2 reward points, 0.50% of cashback.

But if I spend on insurance or utility bills, then I’ll get only 1 reward point for every 100 rupees, like if I pay electricity or water bills, I’ll get only 0.25% cashback on that. It gives the same fuel surcharge waiver if your transaction is below Rs. 4000. Other than that, you’ll get up to a 15% discount on the partner restaurants.

The Platinum one has one benefit: you’ll get 2 reward points for spending Rs 100; Coral has not only this but also movie ticket benefits on BookMyShow, INOX, access to airport and railway lounges, and a milestone benefit on your yearly expenses if it crosses 1 or 2 lakhs. The difference is that the Platinum one is lifetime free, and the Coral one charges Rs 500 a year with a joining fee of RS 500, with the first-year annual fee being free.

It’s almost the same, as you can save around an extra 500 on a Coral credit card per year, compared to Platinum, perhaps even more than that. Now everybody has their own opinions, like if someone just wants a free credit card, for generating the CIBIL score, they can apply for the Platinum card.
