We are excited to announce the launch of our newest Fellowship opportunity! The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023-2024 will start on August 5, 2023, and run through 1st July 2023. So, Our mission is to educate and inspire young leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to influence positive social change, increase civic engagement, and strengthen communities.
Through this fellowship, participants will receive valuable training and experience at MCW that they can apply to their future endeavors by completing service work and participating in leadership programs here at MCW as well as with external organizations in the community.
The goal of this program is to provide guidance and career coaching to a cohort of talented young workers on their pathway to leadership roles within the not-for-profit sector in Australia and overseas.

What Will You Learn?
The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship program 2023-2024 is designed to help you develop skills and take advantage of resources to become a better communicator, manager, leader, partner, parent, and professional.
Also, Through one-on-one mentoring with a community leader, coaching from an expert in your field, and attendance at our annual leadership conference you will have many opportunities to Discuss concepts central to effective communication. Responsibilities of the Fellows
As a young leader, you will be expected to assist in a number of activities throughout your fellowship year. These activities are designed to empower you with opportunities to lead in different capacities while allowing you to develop new skills and competencies.
also, Some responsibilities include Classroom Mentoring You will mentor a current MCW student by meeting with them 1-2 times per month and answering any questions they may have about their classes or professional development and career interests.
Details of MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023-2024
The fellowship’s purpose is to provide a year of public service and leadership development in areas related to water, waste, and air issues. furthermore, This could include an internship at a government agency, NGO, or think tank.
Fellowships are based in Minnesota but may take place outside of Minnesota on occasion if they further achieve project goals. So, MCW will consider fellowships outside of Minnesota in cases where appropriate programs are not available within Minnesota.

Community Needs Assessment
Even with all that McKinley Ville has to offer, we also need to keep working to ensure it is a healthy and thriving community in which people want to live, work, and play. In order to sustain our growth, we want your help in completing a community needs assessment survey.
So, The results will be used by MCW’s Planning Committee, which assists Planning Department staff with updating our comprehensive plan every five years.
Project Development through Virtual Learning
As a class project, students in our organization have been working to understand possible applications of Virtual Reality as a method for learning and teaching. so, After careful research and discussion, we have come to believe that many classes would benefit from incorporating VR into their curriculum.
In addition, virtual classrooms may be especially beneficial for students with disabilities who are unable to travel to physical classrooms easily.
Alumni Mentorship & Ongoing Support
The MCW Mentorship program offers leadership development opportunities for emerging African-American and Latino leaders. Also, A network of experienced professionals in business, government, education, finance, and non-profit organizations serve as mentors to our fellows.
So, As a fellow, you will engage in yearlong mentoring relationships with our diverse mentor pool. The program provides social events and programs geared toward professional development, such as mentoring workshops; mock interviews; case competitions; public speaking training; financial literacy education; community outreach events; professional resume reviews, and more!
- The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023-2024 provides each fellow with a grant for over one year to support their new venture.

There are a number of documents that candidates will need to provide in order to be considered for an MCW Young Leaders Fellowship 2023-2024. These include a resume, cover letter, transcript, and two letters of recommendation.
